Saturday, September 6, 2008 - Sibley State Park "Sesquicentennial" Event
beginning at 9 am, Sibley State Park, New London
Bus tours, horse trolley and pontoon rides will be offered throughout the day. In Sibley's beautiful amphitheater, there will be sounds and songs of fiddlers, a brass band, Hispanic and clog dancers. There will also be craft demonstations, entertaining and educational programs and activities and food vendors on site. So come to Sibley for a fun and educational day that will connect the past, the present and the future with the help of discussion, food, music, dance and crafts. Questions call 354-2055.
Saturday, September 6, 2008 - 26th Annual Prairie Pothole Day
9 am to 5 pm, Stoney Ridge Farm, New London
Special programs all day long including seminars, taxidermy, decoy carving and more, events all day long including dog retriever trials, trap and sporting clays, 3-d archery course and more, and free events for kids including kids archery, BB gun shoot and more. Free admission to everyone, but adults are urged to purchase $10.00 in raffle tickets. Lunch and snacks on the grounds. Free parking.

* Saturday, September 6: The Humane Society will be at the Prairie Pothole event in New London. A Veterianyar Technician will be on hand to do microchipping from 10 am to 2 pm. cost is $25 per animal.
* Saturday, September 13: The Humane Society will be at the Kandi Mall in Willmar for an adoption. Pets that are available for adoption will be inside the Mall entrance near K-Mart on that day from 10 am til 4 pm.

The Blue Line Club is a booster club that raises funds for youth and high school hockey players who need financial assistance. The Blue Line Club's Annual Charity Auction and Dinner will be Monday, September 8th at the Willmar Civic Center to raise these funds for the players. Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 9 - Divorce Dare and DC4K Meetings
7 pm, Epicenter, Willmar (next to Hennen's Furn.)
A new format starts this Fall that will coordinate both a parents program and a kids program. These divorce recovery support groups will help adults and children find help and healing for the hurt of separation and divorce. DC4K is for children 1st through 8th grade.
